Ground Beef Tacos

Ground Beef Tacos
This is your classic Midwestern-style taco night recipe. This preparation works for nearly any type of ground meat, and even vegan meat substitutes. You can also follow this recipe to create delicious ground beef to serve with a nacho platter.

Yield: 6-8 Servings

Preparation Instructions:

Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium high heat. Use a wooden spatula or potato masher to break the beef up into small pieces. Once beef is cooked thoroughly, drain the fat.

Lower heat to medium. Add spices and water. Simmer and stir the meat for 5-10 minutes, until the sauce thickens.

Serve with warm tortillas and all your favorite toppings.

More About This Recipe

Try warming your tortillas directly over a flame on the stove top. You can use tongs to flip them every 15 seconds or so. You want to slightly char the tortillas for a delicious flavor and perfect texture. Wrap charred tortillas in a clean towel to keep them warm.
