White Bean Turkey Chili

White Bean Turkey Chili

There’s nothing better than curling up with a warm bowl of White Bean Turkey Chili featuring our House Blend Turkey Seasoning. Creamy, hearty, and ready in just 30 minutes, it’s the perfect dish for cozy fall and winter nights. Its rich, savory flavors, paired with the creaminess of the white beans and the tender turkey, make each bite warm and satisfying.

This recipe comes from our fried Eden of The Bold Appetite.

Yield: 4-5 servings

Ingredients

Preparation Instructions:

In a pot over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the ground turkey and allow it to cook undisturbed for 1-2 minutes until the bottom has seared. Use the back of a spoon in a twisting motion to break up the block of turkey into chunks.

Continue cooking the ground turkey, stirring occasionally, until it is fully cooked. Once done, remove it from the pan and set it aside.

Add another tablespoon of olive oil to the pan, then add in the diced onion, poblano peppers, and jalapeños. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften. Next, add the minced garlic along with The Spice House House Blend Turkey seasoning, chili powder, and sweet paprika. Continue cooking for another 2 minutes, allowing the spices and garlic to become fragrant.

Add the beans, cilantro, and broth to the pot. In a separate small bowl, take a few tablespoons of the broth and whisk it with the cornstarch to create a smooth slurry, ensuring there are no clumps. Once smooth, pour the slurry into the pot, stirring well to combine.

Simmer the mixture on low heat, uncovered, for 10 minutes. During this time, the chili will reduce and thicken. Season with salt to taste.

Add the cooked turkey back into the pot along with the heavy cream. Simmer on low heat for an additional 3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Serve the white bean turkey chili with a generous topping of cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro for garnish.
