
Southern Pan Fried Chicken
For fried chicken that twangs with flavor, mix one part Fried Chicken Seasoning with five parts flour in a bag. Toss in the chicken pieces and shake until coated, then fry. Our Fried Chicken Seasoning is also delicious on fried catfish, grilled pork chops, or to make seasoned croutons. You can even toss cubed potatoes in this seasoning before roasting for an addictive side dish that’s a winner at picnics. This blend was previously called 'Ozark Fried Chicken Seasoning.' Ingredients: Salt, spices, monosodium glutamate, garlic, paprika, sage, thyme, celery.
Used it on chicken pieces fried in a cast iron skillet. Very tasty. Don't usually mess with my "usual" recipe for fried chicken, but I'm glad I tried this seasoning. Especially enjoyed the bit of zip!
I use this for chicken leg quarters or bone in skin on thighs in the oven or even in an air fryer.
My husband thinks it is delicious.
We tried this seasoning out for the first time ever and we went out on a limb and used it with our salmon on the grill. It was amazing!!! Give it a try.
