Ras el Hanout
The use of fennel spice dates back thousands of years. Hindu and Chinese people used to use it as a cure for snake bites, while during the Middle Ages, Fennel was hung above doorways to ward off evil spirits. Our Ground Fennel Seeds add a sweetness to traditional dishes from Italy and the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Scandinavia. It blends wonderfully with tomatoes, seafood, and pork. Ingredients: Fennel seeds.

When I opened the flat pack, the aroma was amazing. And later when I used it, it definitely added more flavor than the ground fennel from another source that I had been using, I use this almost exclusively to make the basting concoction for Ina Garten’s spatchcocked roast chicken recipe.
Have not used the ground Fennel yet. Moving & situating everything at the moment.
Will by again.
And an excellent addition to my rye bread.
