My wife and two if the three children do not like mushrooms but it’s not the flavor it’s a texture issue for them. This is a great way for me to alter my recipes that call for mushrooms without changing the flavor profiles and they don’t miss out on that yummy umami taste!!
I've never used a different brand, but I'm very happy with this one. We've been trying to figure out a completely from scratch soup base that isn't tomato. This does the trick! I just add it to the mirepoix, salt, and water, and it gives that umami flavor I was looking for.
