The Eastern “Chai,” a spiced tea, has recently become very popular in the United States, and anyone who has had it understands why! “Chai” means “tea” in South Asia, but in the US has come to refer to a sweetened spiced tea. The version we’ve made is based on a traditional Indian recipe, with a tasty hint of vanilla added. The blend is great for adding something new to your morning coffee, and for spicing Middle Eastern pastries. Mix a little into whipped cream for hot cocoa or fruit, or use to flavor frosting for carrot or pumpkin cake.
