My Grandmother use to make a Polish cheese bread when I was a kid, I tried to make it, but could never find the black seeds that she put on top, nor did I know what they were called. I’ve been asking people for years, nobody seemed to know what I was talking about. I came across a bakery in Chicago (now closed) that made a cheese bread, and had the seeds, and I asked them what they were, he told me, and about five or more years have gone, and I couldn’t remember exactly what they were called exactly.
