Cream of tartar helps meringues for pies and other baked goods maintain fluffiness. You can create your own baking powder by combining ¼ teaspoon baking soda and ½ teaspoon cream of tartar, and it’s also good for cleaning copper cookware - just mix it with water to make a paste and rub onto your pots and pans. If you’re a kindergarten teacher or have small kids at home, you can also use our cream of tartar to create your own homemade play dough. Ingredients: Cream of tartar.

This did the job!

One of my aluminum pans was washed in the dishwasher by mistake and was badly discolored. I had found a way to restore it using cream of tartar. This process worked like a charm and now my pan is like new. Also use cream of tartar to make meringues and this product works well.
