Roast Leg of Lamb
For leg of lamb, rinse lamb and generously rub with Mediterranean Herb Blend. First make some small slits in the lamb with a paring knife and insert peeled garlic cloves, then baste the lamb with red wine and roast until done. This blend is also great on pan-fried lamb chops or a crown roast. Beyond just lamb, this is a wonderful blend for pork tenderloin, roasted potatoes, or any kind of roast poultry. Add to olive oil for dipping bread or mix with oil and vinegar for a quick vinaigrette. This blend was previously called 'Mediterranean Lamb Seasoning.' Ingredients: Kosher salt, rosemary, garlic, lemon peel, dill, fennel, sage, marjoram.
I love this blend. It is warm and inviting and your tongue does a happy dance in your mouth. I used on chicken and it turned out amazing. Thank you.
Love this blend... potatoes, olive oil and this seasoning - cut in half, cut side down on baking sheet.. bake in oven or on pellet grill 350 degrees for about an hour.. yum.. good on roast chicken.. will buy it again..
I can see why the name was changed but it used to be blended a bit differently back before it was changed and had a punchier taste to it. I had been using it on white pizzas with feta and Greek olives to make Greek pizzas to very good effect. Also great on pork and chicken.
This spice blend is a most at home. Very versatile with many dishes.
We enjoy eating lamb, but when I found this seasoning it was a game changer. Now we love lamb chops even more than before and we look for it whenever we are shopping for meat.
