Seasoned Oyster Crackers
The best rub for pulled pork, period.
I am fairly certain that this is the same family recipe (also known as Galena Street Rib Rub) that went with two different companies when two groups of cousins decided to do their own thing many years ago. Galena Street, however, is no longer sold by the other cousins, so the Spice House's Bronzeville Rib Rub is your only source for this great classic of American cuisine, which is fine because I feel it was always better prepared and less expensive anyway, and I have consumed tons of both over the years. I have been using this for maybe thirty years and have never found or made a rub that is superior. As indicated, it is also superb on grilled chicken and chops, but really goes beautifully with lemon and garlic (with either olive oil or butter) when cooking them on the stove or in the oven so as to make a beautiful sauce with them, and to accompany with rice (I recommend Persian style basmati with a crust). This makes for incredibly easy and delicious dinners that you can serve to your family and friends for decades.
