It takes nine pounds of top-grade fresh California garlic to make just one pound of dehydrated garlic. This roasted garlic powder keeps for an extended amount of time and its flavor is just like fresh, making this product easy to substitute for fresh garlic. 1/8 teaspoon of granulated garlic is equal to one medium-sized garlic clove, and a 1/2 tablespoon is about equal to one whole bulb. Release the flavor by mixing it with a liquid. If there's no liquid in your recipe (like sprinkling garlic on a salad in lieu of dressing, for example), cover the amount of garlic needed with water and let soak for about 15 minutes and then use as planned.

Best spices for decades

I have been coming to the Spice House for decades, since I was about 5 years old. I remember being given cinnamon sticks by the owners whenever we came in because I would chew on them for hours. I also remember being allowed to go in the back and make a batch of chili powder because there wasn't enough ready to go and we needed a large amount for a football game. The quality has never changed, and I will continue to be a lifelong customer.
