Pakora—Indian Vegetable Fritters
Years ago, a Punjabi man came into our store with his mother's recipe for this spice blend. We received the recipe in exchange for grinding and blending the ingredients. Unlike other curry powders that are based on turmeric, our Garam Masala is a mixture of coriander, cardamom and black pepper. This blend also uses Kalonji, also known as nigella or black cumin. This highly aromatic mix works nicely as an all-purpose Indian blend for seasoning everything from lamb and pork to fish, vegetables and potatoes. Sprinkle this onto dishes near the end of cooking to preserve its unique flavor. Ingredients: Coriander, pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, caraway, charnushka, ginger, cloves, nutmeg.

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)
I enjoy making Indian dishes ever since I was turned on to them by some of my coworkers. I've made several different dishes with many other blends, but when I used this garam masala to make some masoor dal I was blown away by the quality and depth of flavor. All you have to do to know that anything you cook using this blend will be fantastic is open the jar/bag and take a whiff, and you will know you are onto something good. Please never stop making this blend, and never change it!
