Surprisingly Good

I lived and worked in Mexico for 11 years. I've had countless versions of tortilla soup. Since I always have a rotisserie chicken in the fridge I thought I would give this a whirl.

I used fresh tomatoes and corn which I recommend. I also fried my own home-made blue corn tortilla into strips. This takes what is already a good flavor profile up a notch.

I buy the bulk of my spices here. You get an "A" on this mix.

Very SPICY!

I usually mix my own spices for Tortilla Soup, but I decided to try this mix. It was VERY hot! Even my spicy food-loving husband commented that it was pretty spicy. I think I will go back to just mixing my own spices.

Oh Baby!

Quick and easy to make which is always a plus for me. The spices are just right and make this such a warm and comforting soup. I will take this soup over tacos anytime, I think I might make a beef taco soup with this seasoning packet...Anyways, this is a really good soup.
