Chef Clay’s Vegetarian Moroccan Stew
Named for the Roman god of fire and alchemy, this blend incorporates both of these traits. If there was an ingredient analogous to the alchemist's stone, in the food world, it would have to be salt, for it is in virtually every savory dish. Salt transforms your results. It draws out flavors that you would not have noticed without it. This salt goes further than that, because of its other ingredients that add a fiery kick to anything you shake it on. It is such an all-purpose blend that we put Vulcan's Fire Salt right next to our salt and pepper on the kitchen table. It is especially good on your morning eggs, putting some heat to your garlic bread, and making an amazing Bloody Mary. Ingredients: Salt, spices, garlic, chile paste (vinegar, chiles, salt), shallots, lime juice powder (corn syrup, lime juice, lime oil), paprika.
Awesome stuff.
I LOVE this and have used it a lot. It has a good flavor and it's a little hot but not the kind of hot that lasts. It's delicious on wings. I will keep this on hand both for the flavor and the hot kick.
Truly, I carry a jar of Vulcan's Fire Salt in my backpack because I have yet to meet this dish that isn't improved by it. Fries? Obviously. Eggs? Duh. Tofu, peanut noodles, flatbreads, salads, falafel, paneer, broccoli, ramen, frozen dinners, cocktails, y'all I'm serious. I put this on everything. And people who see me put it on things in restaurants try it, and then also buy it. Because it's amazing. Cannot recommend this enough, and it's much safer to carry in a bag than sriracha (I speak from experience).
I love the flavor of Vulcan's Fire Salt on chicken and beef, but it is great anytime you want to jazz up the flavor of foods. I've added it to eggs, potatoes, and even sausage gravy. Yum!
I was excited to learn about Vulcan's Fire Salt, because not everyone in my family likes their food with "heat." I figured it was a way for those of us who crave it to personalize dishes however they're made, so I added a bottle to my last order. I'm glad I did, because it's made eating food the way I like it easy and accessible. Give it a try if "heat" is your thing! I think you'll be glad you did . . .
