While the lemon flavor in this extract comes from the pressing of the outer peel which contains the essential oil of the lemon, you can still add a drop to any recipe that calls for lemon juice to enhance and strengthen the flavor. Add 1/8 teaspoon of this extract anywhere you want rich lemon flavor, including pound cakes, cookies, lemon chiffon cake, cheesecake, custards, or lemon meringue pie.
