Za'atar spice is often mixed with olive oil and spread on bread. Some prefer to do this at the table, while others prefer to bake this mixture into the bread rounds. Za'atar also serves as a seasoning to sprinkle on vegetables, salads, meatballs or kebabs. Much like sausage seasonings, each country and family has a distinctive style of Za'atar. Our particular blend is Israeli in style. Our Za'atar seasoning is hand mixed from sumac, thyme, sesame seeds, hyssop, and oregano.
