Lake Shore Drive Grilled Potatoes Recipe

  • 6 medium-sized red potatoes
  • Topping, mix together:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 1/3 cup chopped shallots
  • 1/4 cup grated romano cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Lake Shore Drive Seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation Instructions

Slice the potatoes in half and cook in a large pot of boiling water. Cook until tender, but don't overcook--about 12 minutes.

Allow the potatoes to cool and place them in a large ziplock bag with the olive oil. Shake to coat. Heat a grill to medium temperature and grill the potatoes until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Remove potatoes from grill and place in a bowl. Toss with the topping ingredients and enjoy.

I modified this recipe only it is the middle of winter, I broiled them in the oven instead of placing on the grill. These were amazing!!! The merging of flavors is incredibly complex in a good way. I used this recipe for a church event and everyone raved about how good they were. Even my children, who are particular about potatoes, loved them. I'll definitely make them again.
