Merguez Lamb Sliders

Merguez Lamb Sliders
These lamb sliders are a hit at every cookout—perfectly savory with just a bit of heat. You can serve these with a platter of all of your favorites toppings. We like serving ours with sliced tomato and cucumber, but we've been known to top thees with red onion and fresh mint too.

Submitted by: Andrew from Chicago, Illinois
Yield: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

Preparation Instructions:

1. Combine the meat, Merguez seasoning, black garlic puree, Aleppo chile pepper flakes and oil. Mix thoroughly by hand until the ingredients are fully incorporated. Form mixture into patties, each roughly 3 inches in diameter.

2. Preheat gas or charcoal grill to medium-high heat. (Around 400 degrees Fahrenheit.) Place burgers on grill, flipping once or twice during the cook. Grill for not more than 5 minutes per side, for medium-rare to medium cook levels. Adjust cooking time to achieve preferred center cook level.

3. Lightly toast your bread. Add your desired accoutrements. Serve and enjoy!

More About This Recipe

The fun in this recipe is setting up sauces and toppings and letting your guests build their own sliders. You can make harissa mayo by whisking a tablespoon of harissa paste into a cup of mayonnaise. To make Tzatziki sauce, combine 1 cup greek yogurt, 1/4 cup shredded cucumber, 2 cloves minced garlic, and 1 lemon juiced. Add salt and pepper to taste.
