Chili con carne is a staple of Tex-Mex cooking that was introduced to the rest of the U.S. at the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Our Chili con carne blend is mild, sweet, and earthy. It includes tomato powder to ensure your chili con carne (or sloppy joe) is rich, red, and thick.

Our Chili con Carne spice blend is a rich base for a bowl of homemade chili. Use 1-3 tablespoons per quart of chili. The Spice House’s Chili con Carne differs from our regular chili powders with the addition of dehydrated vegetables such as celery onion, and tomato powder. The addition of these vegetables makes this an instant base for a savory and thick pot of chili. Our other chili powder blends are popular for cooks who prefer to customise their chili. This hearty blend is also a favorite seasoning for ground beef sloppy joes or seven-layer dip appetizers. Hand mixed from: ancho chile powder, tomato powder, cumin, Mexican oregano, garlic, coriander, minced onion and garlic, red and green bell peppers, celery flakes, arrowroot powder, allspice and cloves.
